Man in critical condition following 7th Ward armed robbery

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A 52-year-old man is in critical condition following an armed robbery in the 7th Ward.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of N. Claiborne Avenue and Annette Street.

Officers say that the victim was approached by three unknown men. One of the suspects was armed with a knife.

Officers say that the armed suspect stabbed the victim and fled the scene with $60 in cash.

The victim was transported to University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
