NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - FBI agents are taking on the case of 17-year-old who says a Jefferson Parish deputy used excessive force on him.
On Thursday an FBI spokesman confirmed that agents are working with the Sheriff's Office to investigate a confrontation recorded with a phone camera. The clip shows a plainclothes JPSO deputy hitting Brady Becker in the face and head at least four times in the Lakeside Mall parking lot.
Becker sustained a fractured jaw and two black eyes.
Detective Nicholas Breaux says he identified himself as a police officer and Becker allegedly pushed him. Becker says he had no idea Breaux was a deputy.
