NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - It's been an incredibly cold stretch over the last couple of days. Friday morning is falling right in line with some north shore locations at the freezing mark and 30s through most of the area.
We will not warm up much Friday as the large arctic air-mass sitting over most of the country is still in control. Expect Friday's highs to top out at 50 once again even though we will manage to see quite a bit more sunshine.
For the weekend, if you are sick of the cold, things are looking up. We will see a warm up into Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday will only be moderately warmer with lows in the mid to upper 30s and highs in the upper 50s. Sunday winds turn southerly with warmer conditions in place by later in the day with highs in the middle 60s.
More moisture will mean a better chance for rain as well. Enjoy Saturday, but get the rain gear ready for Sunday.
