HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A Houma jewelry store was burglarized twice in eight days. Police believe both incidents are related.
Fakier's Jewelry Store, located in the 8000 block of Main Street, was first broken into around 8:30 a.m. on February 21.
Houma Police say that the front glass of the business was completely shattered. The suspects allegedly smashed a jewelry case and stole several watches.
The business was broken into again on March 1 shortly before 4 a.m. Again, police say the front glass door of the business was completely shattered. Police say the suspects were unable to obtain property from the store during the second burglary attempt.
Houma detectives were able to obtain video surveillance of the second burglary attempt. Detectives are attempting to identify the individuals caught on camera.
