NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tuesday morning fog has set in and has a visibility of zero to one-eighth of a mile range. Allow extra drive time.
Fog will linger most of the day over waterways, so be careful in travel.
Over land, skies will be partly sunny as highs soar to near 80 degrees. Dense fog is likely to strike again overnight and a Dense Fog Advisory is likely for Wednesday morning.
Shower chances will be slim Tuesday and early Wednesday before they increase ahead of a strong cold front that will bring back the winter feel for the end of this week.
Temperatures will be 30-40 degrees colder on Thursday accompanied by brisk north winds. Next weekend should begin a warm up.
