NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Police investigating a shooting Sunday in New Orleans East want to track down a person they believe has critical information about the case.

Investigators say a robber shot a man who refused to give up his debit card while walking in the 5900 block of Robin Street Sunday morning. The 40-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to his knee.

Police have now shared surveillance video of a man they call a person of interest in the case. They say the man seen in the video is not a suspect in the shooting at this time. However, they believe he could be important to the investigation.

Seventh District Detective Donald Sharp is in charge of the case and can be reached at 504-658-6070. Crimestoppers is offering a reward in the case.
