NOPD: Missing teen left for school, hasn't been seen since

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD is asking for the public's help in finding 16-year-old Darreonna Charles, who was last seen leaving her aunt's home in the 900 block of North White Street on Thursday.

At around 7:30 a.m., Charles left the location for school and has not been seen or heard from since. She is a habitual runaway and is known to frequent the Michoud and Algiers communities.

Charles is described as a black female, approximately 5'2” tall, weighing approximately 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red shirt and grey pants.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Darreonna Charles is asked to call the New Orleans Police Department at 504-821-2222 or First District Detective Lester Marshall at 504-658-6010.
