JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

New details are expected Wednesday concerning Sheriff Newell Normand's response to a Jefferson Parish brutality complaint.

As FOX 8 first reported last month, a teen from Reserve says a sheriff's deputy attacked him inside a Lakeside Shopping Center parking garage. Brady Becker alleges the attack happened on the Friday before Mardi Gras.

However, the incident report filed by Detective Nicholas Breaux includes an allegation that the 17-year-old Becker and others began throwing punches before a video recording was started. That video shows the deputy repeatedly punching the teen.

JPSO recently announced a full-scale investigation is underway, and Normand is expected to give an update during a Wednesday afternoon news conference.
