(WVUE) - The dense fog advisory in place through the overnight was lifted early Wednesday morning, but there are still some areas of dense fog to contend with around the area.
The fog is not quite as widespread as it has been the last few days. The brisk south wind is strong enough to keep the fog up off the ground as a low cloud deck develops in some areas. Still, give yourself extra travel time this morning.
Wednesday will be the last warm day for awhile as a strong cold front approaches. Highs will be near 80 Wednesday afternoon under partly cloudy skies. A cold front barrels in Thursday morning bringing back the need for heavy weather gear into the weekend. We can also expect a cold rain with the front and some over running rain behind it making the next several days uncomfortable.
