HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Houma police responded to a report of a motorist driving recklessly in the Houma Tunnel and ended up making a heroin arrest.
Officers noticed a 2006 black Kia driving erratically Wednesday morning and stopped the vehicle. Police say they had reason to believe 26-year-old Jace Parfait of Houma was under the influence of narcotics.
Officers used a police dog to search the vehicle and say they located suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Parfait was arrested for reckless driving, making an improper turn, DUI, driving with a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and possessing of heroin.
He was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
