NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Bats are back at an Uptown elementary school.

Classes were canceled Wednesday for KIPP Believe Primary students due to the infestation. Students will meet at Holy Rosary School Thursday to resume classes, according to our partners at Nola.com/The Times Picayune.

The school, which is housed in the Benjamin Banneker Elementary School on Burnette Street, was forced to move its 400-plus students into the temporary location.

This comes after the Recovery School District exterminated Banneker last year before the K-3 charter moved in. Students and teachers started to see the winged creatures just before Mardi Gras 2014.
