NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Winter returned with a vengeance Thursday with temperatures falling to 50 degrees below Wednesday's temperatures in some instances.
Friday morning is cold and freeze warnings start off the morning on both sides of the lake. Get the winter gear ready for your morning commute.
Temperatures will be in the low 30s south and 20s north as you make your way to work and school this morning. Most of the clouds moved out so we will see a little sun Friday afternoon to combat the cold.
Expect high temperatures to work their way back to around the 50 degree mark. The rest of the weekend will be slightly warmer with Saturday being the best day bringing in a high of 58 and sunshine.
Most of Sunday will be dry, but look for increasing clouds through the day and showers to move in with the evening. Once the rain starts, it will stick around for most of the week.
