Sunday turned out lovely with plenty of blue sky and warm temperatures. As the day went on though, clouds did increase and showers to the west began to move closer.
We will begin to see more showers during the day on Monday as a low pressure system develops off the Texas coast and warm front approaches. The rain will stick around for most of the week with moisture stretching across the south from the Pacific Ocean.
That moisture is building from the midlevels down and from on shore winds at the surface increasing surface dew points. Right now it looks like showers will start to dry up just in time for the weekend.
