NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The New Orleans area is under a Flash Flood Watch until 6 p.m. Thursday.
Parts of the Mississippi coast saw in excess of 3 inches of rain as a line of continuous showers moved over the area.
That is certainly a possibility for New Orleans as the threat of more heavy rain continues. The upper disturbance well west of us sends waves of disturbances which trigger the showers.
A line of rain over west Louisiana Tuesday morning will align itself over the area. Models indicate about an inch to an inch and a half Tuesday, over two Wednesday and another few on Thursday.
If the rain stays spaced out enough, flooding shouldn't be a major concern.
