LAKE CHARLES, LA (WVUE) - Louisiana State Troopers arrested Lindsay L. Billiot, 22, of Marrero early Tuesday morning following a traffic stop in southwest Louisiana.
Troopers stopped Billiot on Interstate 10 west of Sulphur for a traffic violation.
Billiot refused to give permission to search her vehicle, to State Police K-9 "Hugo" was deployed and indicated drugs were present in the vehicle.
A search revealed about 1.7 pounds of powdered cocaine worth an estimated $73,700.
Billiot was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center with improper vehicle equipment, along with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
If convicted, she faces up to 30 years in prison and up to a $50,000 fine.
