With several periods of heavy rainfall and the accumulation over the next few days, the region remains under a Flash Flood Watch until Thursday at 6 p.m.
The Airport saw a record 2.15 inches on Tuesday with much of that occurring in 90 minutes.
Not surprisingly, flash flooding was observed on several streets in Kenner and elsewhere.
There appears to be a bit of a break in the rain early Wednesday, with most happening Wednesday afternoon and evening. We'll see another break overnight and early Thursday with another heavy round during the latter part of Thursday and into early Friday.
We finally begin drying out for the weekend. We will see spring-like temperatures through the next 7 to 10 days!
