The heavy rainfall threat is over as the stalled upper feature that was pumping in Gulf moisture has pushed northeast through the area. The rain will taper off later this evening for the Mississippi Gulf Coast as those counties will see drier weather moving in as well.
With more sun, temps will rise well into the 70s this weekend. Enjoy the dry out as we average 2-5 inches of rain this week. The only issue we may face is morning for that should burn off by late morning. Drier for the weekend, but morning fog could still pose a threat.
