NOPD needs help identifying injured man with no identification

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police need the public's help identifying a pedestrian who was injured in a traffic accident on Thursday, March 5.

It happened at 5:56 a.m. in the 6900 block of Downman Road in New Orleans East. NOPD says the victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains hospitalized.

The victim is described as a clean-shaven 6-foot-tall, 188-pound black man in his sixties with salt and pepper hair. Detectives say he was wearing jeans, a black sweater, flip flops and a purple hat. They say he did not have identification.
