Police search for suspect who robbed a woman in the 7th Ward

The NOPD are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that happened in the 1900 block of Hope Street, early Sunday night.

According to police, a 23-year-old woman was standing on the sidewalk near her home when a red pick-up truck drove up to her.

The driver got out of the truck and robbed her at gun point. The robber then drove off with the woman's purse and belongings. The suspect is described as a black male, 6'2” tall, 18-20 years of age, medium complexion with a coarse beard. If you know any information that could help investigators, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
