NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A service dog is missing following a burglary at a Mid-City home.

Family members say that Picasso, an 8-year-old Sheltie, has been missing since Saturday. He was last seen near the intersection of Gentilly Blvd. and Derby Place near the Fair Grounds.

Picasso went missing after a burglary in the area, the family states.

Picasso's family has set up a Facebook page dedicated to the search. The page states that the family just wants their dog back.

“We don't want anyone to think they will be in trouble for coming forward. I promise if anyone returns him there will be no questions whatsoever,” the Facebook page states.

A reward is being offered for Picasso's safe return.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact (504) 236-0727. For more information on the search for Picasso, click here: http://shout.lt/YmNd
