Convicted felon arrested for auto theft

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police say they arrested 46-year-old Wilford Albert in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation.

Agents from the Louisiana Probation and Parole Office and Seventh District Detectives arrested Albert Wednesday at an apartment complex located in the 10800 block of Roger Drive.

Police say a gray Honda Accord was reported stolen from Livingston Parish earlier that day.

Officers took Albert into custody without further incident.

NOPD officers recovered the stolen Honda in the apartment complex parking lot.

Albert was booked with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, outstanding warrants from Livingston and Jefferson Parishes and a Parole Violation. In addition to those charges, Albert had an outstanding warrant from the NOPD stemming from a November 2014 attempted theft investigation in New Orleans East.
