Driver arrested after pinning Fontainebleau pedestrian between cars


A Fontainebleau crash pinned a pedestrian between two vehicles on Friday morning, and the driver who caused it has been arrested.

John Lagarde, 22, was booked with reckless operation and driving on a suspended license.

The incident happened around 9:40 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Carrollton and Belfast. The incident occurred near Lafayette Academy Charter School.

A pedestrian, identified only as a 19-year-old male, was trapped between two cars. The victim had just exited his vehicle and walked in front of his car when a black pickup truck struck his vehicle from the rear. The victim's vehicle was pushed under the vehicle parked in front of him, pinning the 19-year-old between.

He was extricated and taken away from the scene in an ambulance. He is listed in stable condition.
