Plenty of sunshine around this afternoon as spring officially starts at 5:45 pm. Friday is kicking off the weekend nicely, but there is a lot of concern over what to expect as we head into the weekend.
It looks like Saturday will start off with fog once again and as we move into the afternoon even though we will have the warm spring temperatures we can also expect to see an increase in cloud cover and shower activity. Look for scattered showers into the evening on Saturday.
The better chance for rain comes Sunday as a surface low develops over Texas and moves east. The warm front will push more moisture in from the Gulf and provide a focus for showers and a few thunderstorms during the day Sunday. With the Irish-Italian Parade in Metairie on Sunday, timing will be a major factor.
