13-year-old shot by friend's misfire while playing

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

 A 13-year-old boy was shot in New Orleans East when his friend's gun discharged in his pocket.

According to NOPD, the 13-year-old was playing with his friend around 5 p.m. in the 14900 block of Wales Street when the gun in his friend's pocket fired, injuring the victim. The 13-year-old ran home after. Police say he refused to identify the friend who shot him.
