SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) -

Police believe a missing Alabama teenager might be in the New Orleans area and possibly in some type of danger.

Slidell police are assisting the Albertville, AL police department search for Jason Glenn Richards, 15. He was reported missing more than a month ago.

The teenager was last seen in Guntersville, AL on the evening of Feb. 8. His family has not heard from him since then.

During the investigation, police learned Richards might have come to live in Slidell and attended Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Alabama authorities initially believed Richards was a runaway, but now believe he might be in danger.

Richards is 5'10", 150 pounds with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has information on his whereabouts, or who may have seen him in the past month, should call the Albertville Police Department at 256-878-1212, or private investigator, Jeff Means, at 256-508-0047.
