NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Over the last 24 hours, the clouds have been stubborn to move out. As long as we are overcast temps will stay in the 70-75 range.
Today will be warmer regardless as we are seeing a return of warmer and moist air with an east to southeast flow becoming established. If we can break out in some sun, temps will soar to near 80.
Wednesday and Thursday, we will see even warmer temps as a front approaches from the north. Highs could rise as high as 85 degrees.
Expect some showers Thursday afternoon/evening with the front and a more drastic drop in temperatures by Friday. Highs in the mid 60s and overnight lows in the 40s! Still cool and sunny on Saturday, but highs return to the upper 70s by Palm Sunday.
