A man was shot multiple times Wednesday morning in the St. Claude neighborhood.
Police first received reports of the shooting around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Gallier Street.
Officers arriving on the scene found a 30-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Prior to the shooting, the victim was seen talking to a black male who produced a weapon and shot the victim, police say.
The suspect fled the scene on foot. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
