Police are searching for a five-week-old child and 47-year-old woman reported missing in New Orleans.
According to NOPD, five-week-old Tristan Cayden Douglas was dropped off by his mother at 47-year-old Sarah Harris' home in Violet on Friday, March 27 before she went to work. Both are now missing.
Tristan's mother called Harris around 12:20 p.m. to check on the infant and was told that Harris was taking Tristan to Quicky's Market at 1535 Franklin Ave. That was the last time the mother heard from Harris.
Police say that after leaving work the mother tried to call Harris, but her calls went straight to voicemail. In the meant time, she went to Slidell to pick up her other children. She then went to Harris' home and learned that Harris never returned from her trip earlier in the day.
After contacting relatives and searching the area, the mother went to NOPD to report her son missing.
Harris' vehicle is described as a black, four-door 2014 Dodge Charger with Louisiana license plate YCR602.
Anyone with information on Harris' or Tristan's whereabouts is asked to call NOPD at 504-821-2222 or Fifth District Detectives at 504-658-6050.
