NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Saturday was phenomenal with highs peaking right at the 70 degree mark and gorgeous clear blue sky. Sunday will bring in a few more clouds as well with plenty of sunshine breaking through. High pressure is still in control, but as the center is more to our east southeasterly winds are bringing in moisture. That means more humidity to finish out the weekend and fuel for some scattered showers as a front approaches and fizzles to our north for Monday. It appears conditions will stay mostly dry until the middle of the week when an upper level system will create opportunities for scattered showers Tuesday through Thursday.
Looking ahead to the big holiday weekend, Good Friday looks warm and dry with a chance for showers late on Saturday and a frontal passage well underway by Easter Sunday. There's plenty of time to see timing change with these systems so keep up with the forecast.
