Passengers escape through sunroof after Mid City crash

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Passengers of a flipped vehicle in Mid City escaped their car through the sunroof after a crash left a Chevrolet Impala on its side.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. Monday near the intersection of S. Claiborne Ave. and Cleveland Ave.

The accident involved two vehicles, a Dodge Charger and Chevrolet Impala. The Impala flipped onto its side during the accident.

Officials say that the two passengers of the Impala were able to pull themselves from the vehicle through a sunroof. The pair suffered minor injuries.
