Mom, sons arrested in vehicle burglary case

TERREBONNE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office says it has arrested three members of the same family for their roles in several vehicle burglaries, including the mother.

Agnes Calloway Sims, 46, of Houma was arrested on March 31 and faces charges of possession of stolen property, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and theft. Investigators say her two sons broke into cars in the Lisa Park and Broadmoor subdivisions. Authorities say Sims pawned the loot she received from her sons. Detectives were able to recover some of the stolen property.

Samuel Ross, 18, and his 15-year-old brother face seven counts of simple burglary. Darion Ross, 18, faces the same charges.

Deputies say Sims had a warrant out for her arrest on contempt of court charges for driving while intoxicated, not wearing a seat belt and careless operation. She's being held on a $75,100.00 bond.

Sheriff Jerry Larpenter says the investigation into the vehicle burglaries is ongoing and asks anyone with information to call the detective bureau at (985) 876-2500 or the Bayou Regions Crime Stoppers at (800) 743-7433.
