Popular restaurant robbed by man wearing gorilla mask

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A man wearing a gorilla mask and armed with a gun robbed a popular Uptown restaurant.

The perpetrator entered the Dat Dog in the 5000 block of Freret Street around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday and demanded money from the safe. An employee complied and the masked man fled the business with an unknown amount of cash.

It is unclear if there were any customers in Dat Dog at the time of the robbery.
