NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A big drop in temperatures and humidity earlier this morning as a cold front pushed through the region. The front is now south of the coast. Cloud cover stuck around for much of the day, but some clearing has occurred and we'll likely see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies tonight.
The front will begin moving northward as a warm front tomorrow and a surface low coming out of Texas could trigger some showers in central LA tomorrow and possibly parts of the Florida Parishes and north shore, Sunday evening. Also by tomorrow, clouds start working back into the area as winds become more east and then south easterly. By next week, we return to highs in the 80's and higher humidity.
