NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The return flow from the Gulf came back quickly over the weekend as temperatures were back above normal on Easter after a cooler and less humid day Saturday.
On Monday, highs are back in the low 80s. It's more humid and a few showers may develop this afternoon.
It will be warm and muggy throughout the week with an upper disturbance and cold front increasing rain coverage for Friday and Saturday. Some heavy showers and thunderstorms are possible, with the real threat of severe weather looking to remain well north.
The front will stall, keeping temperatures warm through the weekend.
