Deputies identify man killed in Harvey double shooting

HARVEY, LA (WVUE) -

A total of 25 spent shell casings of three different calibers were recovered following a fatal double shooting in Harvey, Louisiana.

A 20-year-old man is dead and a 19-year-old is injured following the overnight shooting. The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 3700 block of Clover Lane.

Officers arriving on the scene found 20-year-old Stacy Johnson shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was found lying next to a vehicle with several open doors.

Deputies say the vehicle was found with numerous bullet holes. A handgun and marijuana were found inside, officers say.

Investigators say that a 19-year-old victim was also shot at the scene. Officers say he was shot in the buttocks, ran to his house and was driven to the hospital by his father. The vehicle he was transported in also had several bullet holes in it, deputies say.

Crime Scene Technicians say they recovered numerous spent shell casings of multiple calibers near the crime scene. Bullet holes were also found in nearby vehicles and the bedroom of a neighboring address, deputies say.

Officers have not identified a suspect(s) or a motive at this time.
