HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A brazen burglar busted through the door of a seafood restaurant in Houma stealing liquor and more before getting away. The break-in happened at the Cajun Critters Restaurant on West Tunnel Blvd early Tuesday morning while the restaurant was closed.

According to pictures posted by the restaurant on Facebook, the burglary happened shortly before 4:30 a.m.  One of the pictures showed the smashed glass door that leads into the restaurant with the caption, "

WHOEVER DID THIS SHAME ON YOU!!! "

SHOULD HAVE SMILED FOR THE CAMERAS!"  In addition to the broken door, there was also a broken ceramic alligator near the front entrance.

Two other pictures taken from surveillance cameras show the burglar smoking a cigarette as he walks through the restaurant.  Another picture shows him eying up what appears to be some type of refrigerator outside of the restaurant.

Fox 8 News called the Cajun Critters Restaurant Tuesday morning.  One of the workers confirmed that the glass door has now been repaired and the restaurant is back open for business.  The Terrebonne Sheriff's Office didn't disclose what was taken, adding only that the bandit got away with several items.  A restaurant worker told us that the thief stole several bottles of liquor.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-743-7433 or the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office at 985-876-2500.
