A judge lowered the bond of a man suspected of stabbing his girlfriend to death in St. Roch.

A judge reduced Christopher Hutsell's bond Tuesday from $750,000 to $500,000. At the same time, the judge ruled there's sufficient evidence in the case for a murder charge.

Investigators say Hutsell stabbed his girlfriend to death on March 20 in a McDonald's parking lot on Elysian Fields Ave.

The victim did not have any form of identification on her.

Investigators suspect she and Hutsell were homeless.
