NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - We'll see near record warmth (87) again on Thursday before clouds & showers increase ahead of a Friday cold front. The challenge is to predict where that front will come to a halt.
If it is over or near us, as the National Weather Service predicts, we'll stay with several rainy periods on Saturday through Sunday. Our VIPIR model sags the front far enough off our coast to allow for slightly cooler & drier air to filter in for Saturday & Sunday.
Location will be the determining factor on whether we stay wet or dry out. I favor the VIPIR model right now.
