NOPD arrest 12 people for nuisance violations in French Quarter

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police say 12 arrests were made on April 8, 2015 as part of an ongoing partnership with the NOPD 8th District, French Quarter Task Force and LASPCA to address nuisance violation complaints. 

Officers conducted targeted enforcement throughout the French Quarter for people involved in panhandling, illegal sales blocking sidewalks.

The enforcement effort took place between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Twelve people were arrested and three dogs were confiscated.

The following were arrested:

Troy Thompson, 22: one count of obstruction of public rights-of-way

Michael Bray, 24: one count of obstruction of public rights-of-way

Brittany Bainbridge, 20: one count of obstruction of public rights-of-way

Nolan Frankville, 30: two counts of failure to appear in court

Meghan Gros, 23: one count of obstruction of public rights-of-way

Amber Chadwick, 23: one count of obstruction of public rights-of-way

Kelsey Brooks, 23: one count of obstruction of public rights-of-way

Ancil Mitchell, 61: one count of obstruction of public rights-of-way

Aaron Blanks, 56: one count of no occupational license

Gregory Connan, 53: one count of no occupational license

George Seaman, 36: one count of criminal trespassing

Eric Widman,  23: multiple municipal attachments
