Two teens, one hiding under a house, arrested in burglary

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Police interrupt a burglary in progress in New Orleans east, arresting two teens.  Another suspect is on the loose.

The New Orleans Police Department received a call of a burglary in progress in the 4900 block of Francisco Verrett Drive Friday morning.   When officers arrived on the scene around 9 a.m., officers say they saw three suspects attempting to flee the scene.

Police say they were able to grab one of the suspects.  Two others ran and hid under a house in the 4800 block of Werner Avenue.

Police were able to apprehend one of the suspects under the house.  The other got away.

Police say the two male juveniles, ages 13 and 15 have been booked with simple burglary and resisting an officer  Both juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Division where they were booked accordingly.  . The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating and identifying the third suspect involved in the incident.
