Jrue Holiday to return for Pels vs Suns

Associated Press Associated Press
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Jrue Holiday will play for the Pelicans tonight after missing the past 41 games because of a stress reaction injury in his lower right leg.

Holiday averaged about 15 points and 7 assists per game as the Pels starting point guard before being forced to sit out because of his injury.

Tyreke Evans started in Holiday's place averaging just over 16 points per game and 6-and-a-half assists.

Holiday will come off the bench and is expected to play under 15 minutes in the game, according to Coach Monty Williams.

The Pelicans will tip off against the Phoenix Suns at the Smoothie King Center at 7 p.m.
