A Barataria man was indicted Friday for molesting three juveniles, and investigators with the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office are conducting interviews to find out if there are other victims.

Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports that in December 2014, a complaint was filed about a juvenile being sexually abused. The Sheriff's Criminal Investigative Division interviewed the victim and other potential victims. The abuse is reported to have taken place between 1999 and 2008 and involved three juveniles.

After a lengthy investigation the case was presented to an Assumption Parish grand jury. Samuel Gonzales Jr., 46, was arrested on 9 April in Ascension Parish on three counts of molestation of a juvenile. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on April 10. His bond was set at $300,000.
