NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Most of Saturday was pretty dry, but by late afternoon Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes were under flash flood warnings after several hours of heavy rain. We continued to see showers and a few thunderstorms well into the late evening. The warm front moved well north of the area during the day.
Sunday showers will start early. There will be many breaks during the day, but we will still see plenty of showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening. Monday will see even more rain coverage as an upper level disturbance moves into the area. It will be a rainy week ahead with showers and thunderstorms likely each day and a stronger disturbance moving in for the end of the week.
