NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We're in a very wet pattern all this week as a southwesterly flow has set up across the Gulf coast region.
Several disturbances will trigger daily rain chances. Some rain events will be heavier than others. Thanks to the heavier showers we saw over the weekend, a Flash Flood Watch is in effect since the ground is now saturated and water will have nowhere to go.
Ponding of water will be common during heavy rain events and drainage may be slow to occur.
We may see a break in this pattern by the end of this weekend. The one good thing is temperatures are not nearly as warm.
