NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police search for a man accused of beating and strangling his ex-girlfriend.
Investigators say Brehk Veitenheimer, 23, will be booked with Acts of Domestic Violence once he's caught.
His ex-girlfriend told police Veitenheimer was driving her home from a mutual friend's birthday party on April 2, when they got into an argument about his driving. She claims Veitenheimer repeatedly punched her in the face, choked her until she temporarily lost consciousness, dragged her out of his truck and left her near the intersection of Tulane Avenue and South Clark Street. Another driver let her get in his van, while he flagged down police officers who were patrolling the area. The officers took the woman to the hospital.
Investigators say the former couple had two undocumented domestic violence incidents when they lived in North Dakota and believe Veitenheimer may have left New Orleans for Williston, ND; Sioux Falls, SD; or Sweet Home, OR.
