NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Heavy rains Tuesday created a nightmare for many with numerous reports of flooding.
Luckily, Wednesday will be drier. There is currently no upper disturbance moving our way to trigger the abundant rainfall setup we saw yesterday.
There are still some showers and storms in the forecast for this afternoon, but not nearly the coverage or intensity as Tuesday's event.
However, Thursday, Friday and perhaps into Saturday more upper disturbances will increase rain coverage again.
The pattern finally breaks by Sunday followed by a cold front bringing drier air in for Monday.
