JPSO: Woman drugged and forced into prostitution

HARVEY, LA (WVUE) - Jefferson Parish Vice Detectives say they rescued a woman who claims she was drugged and forced into prostitution.

Investigators discovered the unidentified woman while working a prostitution sting Monday afternoon at a motel in Harvey. They say her right eye was bruised and swollen shut. Her body was covered in bruises.

According to authorities, the woman says she met Willard Anthony, Nadia Lee, Brittany Grisby and another man in Florida. She claims they drugged her and forced her to come to Louisiana with them.

She told investigators Anthony threatened to kill her if she tried to get away. The police report says Anthony forced the woman into prostitution and made her give him any money she made.

The woman told investigators she tried to escape on Sunday with the help of one of her customers. But, she says her captors chased them down at gunpoint.

She says Anthony caught her, dragged her to his car and choked her until she passed out. She says she was beaten by her captors when she got back to the hotel room.

Deputies took the injured woman to the LSU Interim Hospital in New Orleans for treatment.

Investigators booked Anthony with human trafficking, aggravated battery and aggravated rape. He's being held on $1.1 million bond.

Lee, 26 of Mobile Alabama, is booked with prostitution, crime against nature solicitation, crack cocaine possession and second-degree battery.

Grisby, 21 of Chickasaw, Alabama, is booked with human trafficking, letting premises for prostitution and second-degree battery.

The women also face human trafficking and battery charges.

The report says Anthony and another man served as the victim's pimps. The second pimp has not been identified.
