NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The overnight rains really helped stabilize the warm, moist air in place as today we saw fewer areas of rain and storms.
No major changes are expected through tonight. Saturday another strong disturbance bringing severe weather watches in Texas will head our way tomorrow. The Storm Prediction Center places our area under a marginal risk for severe storms Saturday.
So the focus is on Saturday as it appears we will once again see some rain in the early morning hours. Likely across western portions of the north shore. The impulse that will force this system across will develop a line of heavy rain with some minor severe potential. The most active part of this system will sweep across the area from late morning through mid-afternoon . Expect one more round of rain early Sunday before things begin to clear out late in the day and we finally begin to see much drier conditions to start the work week.
