NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for an April 14 armed robbery in the Marigny.
The incident occurred at about 12 a.m. in the 800 block of Spain Street. Detectives are looking for 18-year-old Trevon Green.
Investigators said as a 26-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were walking in the block, they saw two males sitting on the steps of a house. As they walked past the two suspects, one suspect struck the female in the head with a handgun and the other suspect pushed the man to the ground. The suspects went through the victims' pockets and stole a wallet, backpack and iPhone.
After the armed robbery, the suspects fled in a U-Haul truck. The truck was located and processed by crime scene technicians.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified Green as one of the suspects. He faces two counts of armed robbery. The second suspect is known only as "Joe" and is described as a black male.
Anyone with information on Green's whereabouts is asked to call Criiestoppers at (504) 822-1111. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
