ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the apparent abandonment of a 2-year-old boy in the driveway of a north shore home on Monday.
The office says it got a call that the boy was found at a home on Highway 435. The little boy's father allegedly dropped him off Monday morning and then left. The homeowners said they don't know the father, and didn't see him while he was at their home.
The child's mother called 911 when her husband told her what he had done. The homeowners also called 911.
Investigators were interviewing the child's mother and were preparing to interview the father. In the meantime, The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services is helping to care for the child.
